The Under 17 Lionesses of Cameroon are expected to arrive Cameroon this Monday, January 13, 2025 after beating their Egyptian counterpart by 5-0 in Cairo in the first leg of the Qualifiers of the 2025 Women’s Football World Cup.
The return leg will be played this Saturday, January 18 at the Kouekong stadium in Bafoussam at 2 pm local time

A hat-trick from Ange Anastasie Tazanou, as well as goals from Divine Nkoussa and Tiwa Lys let the visiting Baby Lionesses to a dominating 5-0 win over their their Egyptian host in the first leg of the qualifiers at the 2025 U17 Women’s Word Cup to take place in the North African country of Morocco.
The girls of Joseph Ndoko won without difficulty at the Cairo Stadium in Egypt on Sunday to make it fine start to the tournament for Cameroon, who are keen to make their presence felt in Morocco in October after five years of absence
The baby Lionesses are off to a remarkable start, securing an early lead against Egypt which gives a psychological advantage for Joseph Ndoko’s team, as they prepare to host Egypt in Cameroon in a few days.
A qualification for the U17 lionesses prepares the other selections for better days ahead as the same Morocco is host of the 2030 Men’s World Cup
When Cameroon will host Egypt on January 18, 2025 the girls of Joseph Ndoko will be determined to be among the 24 countries that will be in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will be the 9th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, the international women’s youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
It will also be the first time the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in Africa after an Arab country , Jordan hosted in 2016. It will also be the first edition to feature 24 teams and played annually.
