The Ministry of Research and Scientific Innovation (MINRESI) personnel, including central and devolved services, have gathered to extend heartfelt wishes to Minister Madeleine TCHUINTE for the New Year 2025.
The celebration took place at the esplanade of the annex building number 1 of the ministry, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with optimism and camaraderie.
During the event, Secretary General Prof. EBELLE ETAME Rebecca Madeleine delivered a comprehensive review of the achievements of 2024. She highlighted a series of activities that underscored the critical role of research in the nation’s development. The Secretary General also provided an assessment of major initiatives undertaken throughout the past year, emphasizing the ministry’s resilience and success despite numerous challenges.
She praised Minister TCHUINTE for championing scientific research and innovation in Cameroon, even in difficult circumstances. Remarkable initiatives like the Scientific Research and Innovation Excellence Days (JERSIC), the Scientific Return, and the Farmer Field Schools have yielded significant results thanks to her leadership.
The Secretary General assured Minister TCHUINTE that the entire MINRESI staff remains united in their commitment to elevate Cameroonian research to unprecedented heights. The recent strong support from the Head of State has further galvanized this resolve, instilling hope among the staff that their efforts will continue to receive attention and encouragement.
The event featured the presentation of certificates of appreciation to outstanding staff members and the awarding of medals to those recognized for their exceptional contributions to research. The New Year wishes began with the Central Administration’s presentation, headed by the Secretary General. The occasion was vibrant and colorful, showcasing traditional dance performances, comedy, and a choir, which added to the celebratory spirit.
As MINRESI moves forward into 2025, the dedication and enthusiasm of its personnel promise a year filled with innovative research and groundbreaking achievements.
