A musical display has marked the opening ceremony of the gala evening organized by the Central Committee of the CPDM to mark the 42 anniversary of the New Deal.
The event is chaired by the Prime Minister – Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute in the Presence of the Vice Prime Minister, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the CPDM, Jean Kuete and other dignitaries.
The 42nd anniversary celebration of President Paul Biya’s accession to the helm of the State was organized on the theme: “Let us mobilize as one under President Paul Biya to ensure the stability and progress of Cameroon around the ideals of peace and National Unity.
The event at the Yaounde Conference Centre was marked by the projection of a 60 minutes documentary entitled, Paul Biya, a great States man with an extraordinary destiny. The movie produced by the Central Committee of the CPDM highlighted various achievements and infrastructural transformation of Cameroon by the New Deal Administration.
The documentary pointed though not exhaustively, some major realizations in different domains including health care, education, security, road infrastructure, diplomatic relations and sports amongst others.
The projection pulled several rounds of applause from the dignitaries, party supporters, allied party members and guests at the event.
The second phase of the event was festive with some renowned musicians taking turns to thrill the public with their hit songs.
The dancing phase was crowned by a special music sung in unison by the musicians and the public in honour of President Paul Biya.
The gala evening in Yaounde, is the highlight of celebrations taking place nationwide to mark the 42nd anniversary of the New Deal administration.
Cameroonians abroad are also celebrating in their respective consular and diplomatic representations.
