Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Africa: The 5th African Forum of Women Entrepreneurs opens in November

The Organisation “More Women in Politics” and its partners have announced the 5th African Forum of Women Entrepreneurs (FAFE), scheduled to take place in Yaoundé, Cameroon, from November 20 to 24, 2024. This year’s edition focuses on empowering women entrepreneurs in the green economy sector, aiming to enhance their income-generating activities by 2025.

Accelerating Women’s Leadership

The 5th Edition of the African Forum of Women Entrepreneurs, dubbed FAFE, aims to accelerate women entrepreneurs’ leadership, especially in grassroots communities in Cameroon. Rose MANGUELLE, promoter of FAFE, emphasizes that the program will popularize funding actions in favor of female entrepreneurs. Prof. Justine DIFFO, Head of the Organisation “More Women in Politics,” stresses the importance of fostering development and sustainability of women and engaging them in leadership and politics.

This initiative is part of a broader movement to support women-led businesses in Africa. According to Roland Berger’s Women in Africa Entrepreneurship Study, female entrepreneurs contributed between $250 billion and $300 billion to African economic growth in 2016, equivalent to about 13% of the continent’s GDP.
