Muslim Religious Authorities at the CIDIMUC building 

An Important meeting between Muslim Religious Authorities and the Council of Imams and Muslim Dignitaries of Cameroon (CIDIMUC) took place in Yaoundé, Cameroon, to promote peace and solidarity among Muslims in the country.

A Call for Continuous Prayer

The meeting, led by Dr. Moussa Oumarou, General Coordinator of CIDIMUC, emphasized the crucial role of Imams in praying for lasting peace in Cameroon, particularly during the upcoming presidential election. Dr. Oumarou stressed, “It is important for all Imams to continuously pray for peace before, during, and after the presidential election.”

Cheikh Mouhammed Malik Farouk, President of the African Islamic Union, highlighted the organisation’s mission to promote solidarity, cohesion, ensure the education of Muslims, and pray for peace in Africa. He emphasized the importance of unity among Muslim leaders in achieving these goals.

The meeting provided an opportunity for Imams and religious leaders to come together and make collective supplications to Allah, seeking guidance and support for their activities in Cameroon.
