Vice Admiral Guillaume N’gouah N’gally Gets Medal of the Cross of Military Valour Posthumously

Military honours have been paid to the late Vice Admiral Guillaume N’gouah N’gally during a solemn ceremony at the military headquarters Brigade in Yaounde.

The event presided over by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo, was marked by the reading of a condolence message from the President of the Republic, Paul Biya addressed to the family of the deceased.

In a solemn parade, the Vice Admiral N’gouah N’gally Guillaume et made his final entry into the courtyard of the Military Headquarters Brigade in Yaounde.

The high command of the Defence forces lead by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo were on their feet to pay military honours to the General Officer, who was posthumously decorated with the medal of Cross of the military Valour to the family Order of the Nation.

In the eulogy read by the Commander of the Fourth Joint Military Region, Major General Saly Mohamadou, the fallen Vice Admiral was described as a key player in the development of training, equipment and deployment of the Cameroon Navy during his 63 years of military service that began in 1961.

Vice Admiral Guillaume N’gouah N’gally would also be missed for his mentorship with a sense of humour that inspired his subordinates to strive for excellence.

During the event, the Condolence message from the President of the Republic, Paul Biya to the family was read by the Senior Divisional Officer for Mfoundi before the remains of the Vice Admiral began its final journey to the land of his ancestors, in Lolodorf, South Region of Cameroon where he would be buried on Saturday August 10, 2024.
