Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute presided over the inauguration of the Museum of National Orders and celebrated the Centenary of National Orders in Yaoundé Cameroon. During the ceremony, he awarded medals to five staff members of the Chancellery of National Orders for their outstanding services to the state.
The awards included four Medals for Officers of the National Order of Valour and one Medal for the Order of Cameroon Merit. The ceremony, attended by government personalities, marked a significant milestone in the preservation of Cameroon’s cultural heritage.
Minister of Arts and Culture, Bidoung Kpwatt, praised the government’s efforts in preserving the museum, stating, “This exhibition is a testimony of our common interest in reconstituting our collective memory.”
Prime Minister Dion Ngute emphasized the importance of the museum, saying it will serve as a vital institution for the state.
The museum features various National Orders, including:
– The Order of Valor of Cameroon
– The Order of Sports Merit
– The Agricultural Merit
– The Cameroonian Order and Merit, with four grades: Knight, Officer, Commander, and Grand Cordon
The five staff members who received medals were recognized for their dedication and contributions to Cameroon’s socioeconomic development.
