The Cameroonian students based in Marakech, have organised themselves to support the Indomitable Lions when they take on the elephants of Côte d’Ivoire.
The Njane Awrad neighborhood in Marakech, is where we met a group of Cameroonian students who are on scholarship for the most part, the students are either studying medicine or Hotel Management.
Oumarou Saliou, first year student in medicine, told reporters that, despite his limited financial resources, they are organized with the group of Cameroonian students in Marakech, to go to the stadium and support the lions.
The President of the group, Bankang lepongsi Jacques, 7th year student in medicine says he has made calls to mobilise a group of students for the sunday’s encounter.
He said they watched previous matches at the Fans zone due to insufficient means but have been longing for an occasion to support the lions at the Marakech stadium.
Another member of the group Mahamadou Elmadi, 2nd year student in hotel management, is proud to be a Caf volunteer for the AFCON.
