Evelyn Mengue A Koung has officially taken up duty as the pioneer female, Central Director in charge of Television at the CRTV.
She was commissioned by the Director General, Charles Ndongo via video conference with a mission to uplift all CRTV’s TV channels. She was installed alongside the new Editor in Chief for weekends and public holidays, Germain Noël Essengue.
Their appointments came while they were busy covering the African Cup of Nations in Morocco, so too was their installation via video conference.
The head of the CRTV team in Morocco, Evelyn Mengue A Koung from Director of TV Newsrooms to become the first ever woman to hold the office of Central Director in charge of Television at the CRTV.
The new Central Director is a PhD holder, lecturer at the Advanced School of Mass Communication, ASMAC and President of the Cameroon Wing of the Union of Cameroon Wing of the Union of Francophone Press, UPF.
In the company of her team in Morocco, she listened kindly to the mission associated with her new position as spelt out by the Director General Charles Ndongo via video conference.
Also promoted to Editor in Chief for weekends and public holidays is seasoned sports reporter Germain Noël Essengue. He was head of sports services for the Central TV Newsroom.
He looks forward to giving more color to the weekend news.
Both officials have already embraced their new tasks though thousands of kilometers from headquarters on mission.
