For eight years, Joyce Babatunde has dedicated herself to honing her musical talent, perfecting her voice and lyrics, and striving to become a renowned artist. Her big break came in 2018 when she was discovered through a young talent competition organized by the Goethe Institute in Yaoundé.
Joyce Babatunde’s music is a rich blend of funk, soul, rap, and jazz influences. With her unique style, which she’s coined “afrosoul,” she effortlessly master’s these genres. Her music philosophy, “Masterpiece Mentality,” reflects her commitment to excellence and self-confidence.
Debut Album and Career Highlights
In 2023, Joyce Babatunde released her debut album, “Kwacoco Bible,” which explores themes of love, encounters, and social issues affecting her home country, including violence in the Anglophone region and corruption.
