Colombe Sportive of Dja and Lobo has for the first time won the football cup of Cameroon and super cup in a season.
They defeated elite one champions Victoria United of Limbe by 2-1 this afternoon in the super cup final at the Mbappe Leppe Stadium in Douala.
Colombe Sportive of Dja and Lobo made known their intentions in the encounter at the 17th minute when
Zacharia Arthur Yene fired in the first goal.
The score remained the same throughout the remaining minutes of the first half.
In a bid to bounce back in the clash , Winfred Nathan Douala took advantage of an error from goal keeper Idrissou Mfou of Colombe at the 59th minute to net in the equalizer.
Determined to Carry the day , Colombe Sportive kept pushing for another goal right up to additional time.
Their efforts paid off 3 minutes to the final whistle with a rebound goal from substitute Victoire Hanzongo which sent their fans at the Mbappe Leppe stadium into a Frenzy .
At the blast of the final whistle, Captain Randy Kwalar lifted the trophy from the hands of the first vice president of the Cameroon football Federation, Celine Eko leaving his Goalkeeper Idrissou Mfou of Colombe overwhelmed.
Following the 2-1 win over Victoria United, Colombe Sportive of Dja and lobo, for the first time are winners of the cup of Cameroon and super cup in the same football season.
