The last time, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon faced off The Brave Warriors of Namibia, the clash ended 2-1 in favour of the Southern African nation. The first Group J AFCON Qualifier between the two countries this September 7, at the Roumnde Adja Stadium in Garoua will surely be a level ground for Cameroon to settle scores and snatch the relay baton at the ongoing 2025 AFCON qualifying matches

The boys of Marc Brys will also be looking forward to clinch a victory and move past the current crisis rocking the Cameroonian football federation, FECAFOOT, for sometime now. In fact Collin Benjamin of Namibia stated that they will make it a difficult terrain for Cameroon also.

Garoua being the host ground rekindles memories in the indomitable lion’s squad, September 12, 2023 was the last time the African footballing nation played at the 30000-seater historic Roumnde Adjia Stadium, a match that ended 3-0 in favour of the Cameroon against Burundi.

In fact, Cameroon will be keen in protecting their 22-match unbeaten records at home amid the rocking tensions surrounding football in Cameroon, a situation that pulled through Cameroon’s last two games; one against Cabo Verde in Yaounde and another against the Palancas Negras of Angola in Luanda.

In last 16 encounters across all international footballing scenes, Cameroon can just count four victories in sixteen outings.

In their last five matches; Cameroon played an all one tie with Angola, trashed Cabo Verde 4-1 at home,lost in a 2-0 game to Nigeria, defeated The Gambia 3-2 and fell off to a 3-1 defeat in the hands of Senegal

Namibia has not been at her best also,Peter Shalulile and his teammates have had difficult times as well in their last outings; one of them being a 5-0 spanking from Angola in the COSAFA Cup.

The Brave Warriors have failed to score in seven of the eleven clashes, a time she was able to win just two games in all. In her last five games, Collin and his boys lost crushingly to Angola, played a 4-2 victory over Mozambique in penalties, defeated Seychelles 3-1 and Lesotho 2-1 and in one of the clashes with Angola both teams settled for a goalless tie 

In their 18 away games; that is AFCON qualifiers, Namibia managed just four victories and a single tie game
