The President of the National Communication Council (NCC), Joseph Chebonkeng has reiterated his institution’s commitment to ensure the respect of ethics and deontology in the practice of Journalism in Cameroon

He has also warned recalcitrant media houses that they will be sanctioned.

This was during a week-long tour of media houses in Yaounde and Douala with a team from the NCC.

In Yaounde, the NCC Boss visited CAM 10 Television, Info TV, Vision 4 Television and Wafrica Television on 29th August 2024.

Over in Douala from 2nd to 3rd September 2024, Joe Chebonkeng and his team visited My Media Prime, Equinox TV and its newspaper La Nouvelle Expression.

Though the visit to Equinox TV did not go as planned, the NCC team was able to conclude its visit with a press conference in Douala.

It is the hope of many that media men heed to the messages from the National Communication Council so as to ensure a safe and organised media landscape in Cameroon.
