The President of the National Communication Council, Joseph Chebonkeng, has urged media professionals hosting interactive programs and debate shows to uphold the standards of the profession.
He made these remarks during a visit to several media outlets in Yaounde on August 29, 2024.
The visit paved the way for dialogue between the council and media professionals, highlighting the importance of adhering to ethical principles and professional norms in journalism.

During the visit, President Chebonkeng engaged with media professionals at Cam 10 Media House, Infos TV, Vision 4, and Wafrica. “Ethical journalism is the backbone of a democratic society,” he stated.
