Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship : ANTIC Schools Young Cameroonians On Ground Breaking Solutions

To contribute in Cameroon’s digital growth and a sustainable future, the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies, ANTIC is equipping 100 youths drawn from 4 universities in Douala in a program dubbed Cameroon Digital Skills Campaign 2024.


The ANTIC boss, Prof Ebot Ebot Enaw launched the 5-day campaign with a call on the need to harness the power of innovation and entrepreneurship in young Cameroonians. 

He used the platform to thank the Founder of « The Changing-Engine », Helene Manyi Arrey who has been collaborating with ANTIC for the past 6 years in accompanying youths in their journey of digital exploits and entrepreneurship.

Professor Ebot Ebot Enaw clearly started that an E-Conomy Africa 2020 report, jointly published by the International Finance Corporation and Google, envisaged that the digital economy should be able to contribute to 6.19% Gross Domestic Product in 2025 and 10.2% in 2050 in Cameroon’s economy. 

He further notes that the future will be bright in all spheres if the youths have competences in advanced digitalization which he believes will help to create revolutionary solutions, innovative enterprises, a huge contribution in the advancement of technology in the world

The 6th digital platform attended by young innovators amongst many other experts in the digitalization chain is a midway for economic growth, advanced entrepreneurship, sustainable development and technology, employment and a prosperous future for Cameroon 

The ANTIC Director General also used this enriching digital camping to  underscore that «  In an era where digital technologies are reshaping every facet of our lives at an unprecedented pace, it is of paramount importance that we equip our youths with necessary skills to thrive in this rapidly evolving landscape »

He further stated « The future belongs to those who can harness the power of innovation and entrepreneurship, and it is our collective responsibility and duty, to pave the way for their success »
